Metacognition of motor imagery


Motor imagery is often used in sports, medicine and rehabilitation. Imagining a movement is associated with activity in the same neural structures as actually performing the movement. We ask how much we know about the movements we imagine and, crucially, which are the mechanisms that allow us to monitor and control motor imagery.
